Workshop 02 – Fire Safety of Buildings: Knowledge Sharing Session was conducted on 03rd July 2025 from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. at the Seminar Room 01, FGS, USJ.
The session was organized by CFSE, USJ, in collaboration with Fire Safety Department, Colombo Municipal Council. Mr. P. D. K. A. Wilson, Chief Fire Officer (Acting), and Mr. W. U. Dayananda, Assistant Chief Fire Officer (Acting), Fire Prevention Division, Fire Safety Department, Colombo Municipal Council, who served as the resource persons.
The objective of the session was to highlight the importance and current status of fire safety in Sri Lanka, with a focus on practical insights, certification guidelines, and emerging trends related to fire safety in buildings.
